Swim Safe Lowcountry
According to the Centers for Disease Control, an estimated 5,000 children ages 14 and under are hospitalized each year from near-drownings, and most of these accidents happen in backyard, residential pools. Here in the Lowcountry, surrounded by water, we face many inherent risks. It’s easy to learn and observe basic water safety practices.
