Charleston Outdoor Fest

April 15-17, 2016
Charleston, SC

“Come quickly. Have found heaven,” wrote artist Alfred Hutty to his wife in 1919, shortly after his arrival in Charleston, South Carolina. One visit to the Holy City and you too will realize you’re somewhere special! Rich in history, spectacular natural beauty, and some of the best food you’ll ever eat, Charleston is the ideal backdrop for the 26th annual Charleston Outdoor Fest at James Island County Park.
Whether you’re a devoted outdoor sporting enthusiast or just beginning to explore nature’s playground, you’ll find your perfect fit for fun and fitness at this amazing three-day festival. Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, rock climbing, slacklining, mountain biking, archery—even disc golf—there’s something for everyone!

From rigging and fishing to birding by boat, festival goers can enjoy hands-on workshops and demonstrations taught by leading professional instructors. More than 70 expert exhibitors will be showcasing the latest outdoor equipment, and adaptive recreation specialists will be on hand to tailor programs for the enjoyment of participants with disabilities.

We reserve the right to use photos or videos taken of visitors while they are at Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission facilities or events for publicity purposes.
