Event Rentals at McLeod

The 37-acre McLeod Plantation Historic Site is located on James Island, just across the Ashley River from historic downtown Charleston. The grounds include a riverside outdoor pavilion, a sweeping oak allée, and the McLeod Oak, which is thought to be more than 600 years old. Set against the backdrop of a restored antebellum plantation house, the tree-lined estate offers a beautiful and historic setting for multiple-sized groups. The interior of the plantation house includes first floor reception space for smaller events and a bridal suite and groom’s quarters on the second floor. Due to capacity restrictions larger events will also need to utilize the grounds or pavilion.

McLeod Plantation can host intimate gatherings or grander events by combining the different unique spaces. Any equipment utilized by a group must be packed up and removed from the premises immediately following the rental.
