From atop a SUP, you can cruise our Lowcountry waterways from a whole new perspective. Stand up paddle boarding is not only one of the fastest growing outdoor activities, it's fun!
What's Walk Up SUP?
Each Saturday and Sunday, we're offering quick-start stand up paddleboarding classes taught by ACA-certified instructors. Each one-hour lesson will teach you the basics of stand up paddleboarding, from proper stance and form to safety. Please be aware that flip-flops aren't allowed. You will need shoes that can get wet and will stay on your feet in the water.
Saturdays & Sundays
The boat dock next to the Park Center at James Island County Park
1-2 p.m., 2:30-3:30 p.m., and 4-5 p.m.
$15 per person
No preregistration needed.
Six students per class will be taught on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ages 10 & up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring With You
Shoes that can get wet and will stay on your feet in the water (no flip-flops).
Swim suit/nylon shorts
Sun protection (hat, glasses, and lotion)
