After-School Program
Focusing on Safety, Health, and Aquatic Rescue for Kids, Charleston County lifeguards provide education to students in Charleston area public schools through the existing Kaleidoscope Program.
- Club meetings are held once a week for 1 month.
- Instructors visit up to 3 schools a week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
- Program is geared towards elementary-aged children, grades K-5.
- Programs focus on water safety awareness, boat and lifejacket safety, what to do in an emergency, aquatic life safety, and healthy lifestyles.
