Series Championship
A point system will be used to determine the Open/Elite Champions as well as the Series Champions in all age groups and Divisions (Athena, Clydesdale, and Masters). Points will be assigned for each race in the following manner:
  • 1st - 100 points
  • 2nd - 90 points
  • 3rd - 80 points
  • ...on down to 10th - 10 points
To be eligible for Series Championship Awards, three races must be completed with finishes in the top ten in the participants category. If a fourth race or fifth race is completed, the lowest point values will be discarded from results. The final race in the Series will serve as the Championship Race and will count double points (1st - 200 points, 2nd - 180 points, on down). In the event of a tie, the highest finishing position in Championship race is the tiebreaker.

Age Groups
For each of the five Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series races, your age for your respective age group will be your age on the date of the first race of the series, regardless of which races you participate in. For the 2014 series, your age will be whatever your age is on May 18, 2014. Please make sure that your date of birth has been submitted at the time of registration.

Series Champions (first place only) will receive specially designed awards at the awards ceremony following the August race. In addition, the top three men and women in the Open/Elite Division will earn automatic entry into the following year CSTS.

The August Championship Race has always had the highest demand for entry. Be careful not to get closed out of this race.
