Dog Day Afternoon
It’s your dogs’ turn to cool off, and enjoy a day at the waterpark at the end of the summer. The dog days of summer have never been so much fun!
ALL SESSIONS OF DOG DAY AFTERNOON ARE SOLD OUT!
You must have a ticket for entry. Ticket holders, be prepared to present the QR code(s) you received via email when you registered for the event. (You may have to check your SPAM or Junk folders.) You can also find your Registration QR codes by visiting your Active.com events page and logging in with the email address you used to purchase your tickets.
Weather StatementDog Day Afternoon occurs rain or shine. If we have to cancel the event due to severe weather, we will post an alert to our website. All sessions of Dog Day Afternoon are sold out, so you will not be able to attend another session should your session be canceled. |

Splash Island Waterpark
at Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park

Open attractions include the leisure pool and kids' pool area. Snacks, bottled drinks and prepackaged ice cream will be available for purchase from our retail area at the front gate.
Splash Zone Waterpark

- Session 2: 1-3 p.m. - Sold out!
Open attractions include the leisure pool and plunge pool. Additionally, lockers will be available for rent, and Dip N Dots and items from Bullfrog Bites (snackbar that includes chips, drinks, ice cream, sno cones, etc.) will also be available to purchase. Other concessions will be closed.

Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark
at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park

Open attractions include the wave pool, Otter Bay, and the lazy river (drained down to 1 inch of water). Dippin' Dots and Soca Stop will be open and have concessions (ice cream, drinks, chips, sno cones, etc.) available for purchase. The main kitchen will be closed. Lockers will also be available for rent.
Event Notes
- Event cancellation and refund policy.
- Swimming is for dogs only. Humans should not enter the water past knee depth.
- All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations: rabies, distemper, parvo and bordetella.
- Prior to entering the waterpark, please walk your dog to help him/her relieve themselves, and be sure to pick up any waste. Waste bags will be available. We would like to avoid accidents in the pool as much as possible.
- Your dog may be released from the leash upon entering the waterparks.
- Please do not trim your dog’s nails prior to attending Dog Day Afternoon. Dogs will be running on the concrete area and nails will wear down quickly.
- Your dog must remain under your control at all times.
- Please be aware of where your dog is at all times.
- Be sure your dog has been exposed to swimming prior to the event.
- Female dogs in season are not allowed.
- Puppies under six months of age are not allowed.
- Outside food and drink - dog and human - is not allowed in the pool area.
- Concessions will be available for human visitors, but must be eaten in the concessions area. Fresh water will be available for dogs throughout the event.
