About the Instructor

Alexandra Seaman is a certified Kundalini, Vinyasa and Youth Yoga Teacher who has taught yoga and meditation to youth in the downtown public school system for more than a decade. She approaches all yoga through the lens of love in action, working in partnership with Empowered Minds, a local nonprofit that brings yoga and meditation to schools.

AlexanAlexandra Seamandra also project manages the Antiracism and Appropriation effort for an international yoga organization. She became interested in yoga for dis- and differently-abled minds and bodies when her son was born with a limb difference that challenged her to think even more creatively about adaptation and access.

She is trained in Kundalini Yoga through the Kundalini Research Institute, is working towards her advanced studies in Hatha Yoga, and has 4+ certifications in child-specific yoga training, including one for incarcerated and at-risk youth.

"I believe the children are our future, but they need practical tools to help them navigate the times. Tools to develop their attention span in an increasingly media-saturated world, to help them still and quiet their bodies, navigate difficult emotions, and celebrate who they are."
