5K Run/Walk Trail Series

The 2023 5K Run/Walk Trail Series is held at some of our most treasured parks for trail runners and walkers: Caw Caw Interpretative Center, Johns Island County Park, and Laurel Hill County Park. Throughout the year, series participants will journey through the landscape of the Lowcountry, from swamps of cypress trees to forests of palmettos to oak alleys, with more change in their pockets and the opportunity to win 5K trail series awards and finisher medals.

To qualify, participants must register for and participate in the Chili 5K Run/Walk on November 4 and at least two more races in our series. The awards ceremony for the series will be held at the Chili 5K Run/Walk. 

The 2023 5K Trail Race Series fee is $134 and includes registration into:

• Where the Wild Things Run 5K Run/Walk on March 4
• Mullet Haul 5K Run/Walk on April 22
• Lowcountry Trail 5K Run/Walk on October 7
• Chili 5K Run/Walk on November 4

Throughout the series, participants who place in the top ten for Overall and Age Group divisions in each race will accumulate points. In the event of a tie, Chili 5K time will be used.

Series championship awards will be distributed to Overall winners for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place and Age Group division winners in 1^st place.
