Shem Creek Boat Landing Closed for Improvements

Shem Creek Boat Landing is closed for repairs and improvements starting January 9. It is expected to remain closed through early spring. The parking lot will be repaved, new stormwater structures and storm drain lines will be installed, and minimal dredging will be done under the floating dock.

In addition, ADA accessibility will be improved by providing an accessible route from the parking spaces to the boat ramp. This work will include reconstructing sidewalks, installing ADA ramps, reconstructing accessible parking spaces and replacing storm grates to meet ADA standards.
