Often overlooked, women were important to life at McLeod Plantation. The abolishment of slavery changed much in many ways, yet at the same time changed so little for women. Join us for an exploration into the complex experiences and relationships of women here at McLeod.
These tours delve deeply into history and reflect our most recent research, revealing new understandings of the people who lived here throughout history. In addition, participants are often allowed access to places typically not available to the public.
Ages 8 & up. A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under.
*Charleston County residents contribute to the development of our county park system through property taxes, therefore a discounted rate is available to them.
