The ACA Instructor Certification program polishes the paddling and teaching skills of already-competent paddlers aspiring to become instructors or trip leaders. Certification is based upon successful demonstration of technical competency and teaching skills. This workshop (IDW) with the certification exam (ICE) is for the ACA's L-2 Canoe Touring Instructors. This certification is for those teaching students in flat water. It emphasizes safety, efficiency, and self-reliance for those traveling by canoe in controlled conditions.
