The Snow Sisters are here at the Holiday Festival of Lights! Even though the Snow Queen has ice powers, she will warm up your child's heart with her songs and games. And her Snow Sister will bring all the energy, laughter and fun!

While you're chatting with jolly old St. Nick, our professional photographer will take photos of your group of up to 5 people with Santa. If your group has more than 5 people, please book multiple spots. You'll receive the full digital package with all images of your visit. No personal photography will be allowed. A maximum of 6 families will be able to register for each 30-minute time slot, and each visit with Santa will be on a first-come, first-served basis during that time slot. Santa's Attic Gift Shop, the Incredible Gift Shop, and Santa's Sweet Shoppe will be open during the event hours. Registered participants will receive a complimentary pass to come back and enjoy the Holiday Festival of Lights at night (1 pass per registered group).

Learn basic self-rescue techniques for your next outdoor trip. When things don't go according to plan, have the skills and confidence to get you and your partner out of trouble.

Learn the basics of top rope belaying. This 90-minute class will help kick off your new climbing adventure with a 1:6 instructor to student ratio and lots of small group and partner work. The class will include your gear rental, too!

The Charleston Caroling Company is a strolling acapella quartet, dressed in Victorian-era costumes, singing classic Christmas carols. It's the perfect way to embellish the holiday spirit!

Learn the basics of skateboarding in a safe and fun environment! Little to no experience skateboarding is necessary. Students will be taught the components of a skateboard, proper safety equipment, skate park etiquette, determining stance: Regular or Goofy, foot placement on the board, pushing, carving, keeping your momentum, turning, and how to properly fall. Helmets are required and pads are recommended. SK8 Charleston has skateboards, helmets, and pads (wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads) available for use at no additional cost during scheduled lessons. Skaters may use their own industry standard equipment. Includes free admission into the skate park on the day of the lesson.

Bring your curiosity and engage all of your senses while exploring natural habitats at your county parks! Led by Charleston County Park's Education staff, the multi-seasonal Junior Naturalist program series offers a wide variety of fun and educational nature-based activities focused around a central theme. Children who attend 8 classes earn the title of a Certified Junior Naturalist! We often say indigenous people are the first naturalists. Explore Native American culture of coastal South Carolina at the time of European settlement. Learn how local tribes successfully used natural resources in everyday life.

The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission is composed of seven citizens who serve two-year terms. At monthly meetings, commissioners discuss agency business and vote on policy-related issues. Kevin Bowie, Executive Director, is the staff liaison to the commissioners.

The Lowcountry Power Brass band is an all brass band that plays Holiday music.
