Thank you for your interest in hosting a special event within the Charleston County Park system. On average, the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission approves over 100 event applications a year. These events usually feature recreational activities and are typically hosted by non-profit organizations raising money for a cause. Please note that we typically do not approve for-profit event requests. Applicants should not advertise their event to the public until they have received approval from CCPRC for their event application.

- Inviting the general public
- On-site fundraising
- Runs/walks
- Live music
- Instructional classes, ongoing programs/series
You do not need to complete the interest form if you simply want to
rent a shelter for a family/company picnic, reunion, or wedding.
